Check it out at www.neotecgraphic.com

It ran me quite a bit, but the resolution and refresh rates are very acceptable. Here's what I learned:

1) A user's ability to control refresh rates at different resolutions with Windows really, really sucks. Therefore, MAME32 is not ideal with this monitor. It tends to either not be able to sync or the picture becomes distorted as the video card puts out an inappropriate signal for the monitor.

2) There's no .inf for Windows to use. I used the NEC 3FGx setting in Control Panel. I had one of these years ago and specs seem pretty similar (as best as I recall).

3) Arcade@Home is a perfect front-end to use since it calls the DOS version of MAME.

4) To really get the most out the monitor, I used a utility called VBEHZ version 2.22 to manually configure the refresh rates of all the VESA 3 modes the video card supports.

5) If you use VBEHZ, be aware that your video card MUST be VESA 3 compliant, or it won't work.

Having done these things, the monitor give me the best performance it possibly can and uses all of the screen-size from top to bottom and/or left to right as the games should use. Very, very nice.

If anybody would like to know the values I plugged into VBEHz for the various resolutions, LMK and I'll shoot you my settings.

The Damage: US$750.00 plus shipping.

It also took them about 2 months to get it to me, but a game of Metal Slug, SmashTV, and several Mario Bros. on this beauty made the wait worthwhile. :-)

It will soon be entering my cabinet. 27" of phosphorescent glory. What else can I say?
