anyone tried hacking a usb mouse for their
trackball/spinner interface?.

my spinner seems ok (origional tempest hardware and
a ps/2 mouse internals) but the trackball sucks (i
bought one of those $10 playstation trackballs and
hooked up a serial mouse) its most likely the size
of the wheel/number of holes etc. its not smooth,
and if i spin too fast in marble madness the ball
goes the other direction :). This may sound like
heresy, but my arkanoid game has way improved when
i switched from the spinner to the trackball, anyone
else do this?

but i was wondering, after reading that the USB mice
get a lot more signals/sec, if anyone had tried
hacking one for a trackball or spinner

or for that matter, if anyone had taken a USB keyboard
apart yet. it would be kinda cool to have a single
USB plug to stick in the pc from the cab.

henri (who still has to put up a web page for his cab)
