I would take the trackball apart and look at the rollers that the ball rests on. Make sure these are free of dirt and the bearings are spinning with no resistance.
If the problem persists, I would return it to Happs. You should not need WD-40, etc for a brand new trackball.
: Well, subject says it all. I bought and mounted a new 2 1/4" Happ trackball and while it works fine, there are times where the ball tends to stick. Pushing a little harder gets through the tight spot but it definitely can harm gameplay.
: Is the ball mechanism just tight since it's new? Is there a way I can lubricate it or do something similar to free it up a bit?
