: I have been offered a Virtua Fighter Machine fully working although a bit tatty for £250.00.(does this sound reasonable?)

: It's not Jamma so how much more difficult would it be to convert to work with Mame.

: Thanks Mike

Virtua Fighter is def. only Meduim Res,
so the monitor is really no good to you unless you
want to run real med. res arcade boards on it

i.e. it's too high for the arcade modes in MAME,
too low to run a PC on.

sounds like an ok price though - I'd be tempted
to keep it 'as is' and just import a few cheap
medium res game boards from Japan -
then use it as your 'medium res' cab
(VF2 is very cheap these days :))
