Sounds great! I'm working on a steering wheel to work with my spinners too!
My suggestion would be to use POTs instead of the encoders whenever you can though. They are cheaper, and easy to wire into the Joystick port. For the starwars yoke and paperboy controller atleast.
Too bad you don't live near me - we could build all kinds of stuff together....
: Hehe. OK, no such company exists, but who knows? I was tinkering with the optical encoders sold by HAPP (the ones Fultra usus for his Spinner) and so much comes to mind.
