Well everyone, unfortunately I haven't made very much visible progress on my cab in the last couple months. It is a working Mame machine running pc2jamma but I want so much more (greedy) that I've held off on making the cab official and designing a site for it. I just want to update to you all to let you know where I stand. Right now I'm in the parts collecting process which takes time and money, the latter of which is really slowing me down. I just got a damn $69 speeding ticket yesterday that doesn't help things much. I'm gathering parts right now though and will once again be doing some major building very shortly. In case you are all wondering about my crazy ideas for a cab, here is what this bad boy is going to sport:

-2 player 6 button each control panel

-"Accessories" control panel that will sport two spinners, a trackball, and a 4-way stick. I may end up making my two joys on the other panel Happ's supers so they'll be switchable and not have the 4-way stick.

-Two steering wheels that will attach over the two spinners for optical racing games. (Sprint, Off-Road)

-Buttons on each side of the cab for pinball games

-Playstation panel. I'm probably going to buy the Blaze control panel and use it. Tekken 3 for $20!!!

-Light Gun!!! Yes I'm going to do it. I'm in the process of collecting the materials to build the playstation2jamma circuit and testing playstation light guns on an arcade monitor! This is how I'll play playstation games.

-Driving and Flight Cockpit!! Okay I know you are all starting to think I'm crazy but...well... okay I am. I have devised a way to make my cab transform from a stand up arcade into a sit down cockpit. The steering wheel is going to be a playstation one and I'll be able to play playstation racing games on my cab. In the future I'll probably replace it with the Act Labs RS and get both the psx and the pc compatibility carts. In addition to that I'm also adding to this cockpit a flight stick. What I'm actually going to do is use a playstation flight stick (Colony Wars, Ace Combat, Wipeout, etc.) AND a PC flight stick for pc flight sims and space sims. Most dos games will run through ArcadeOS. I'm probably going to buy two EagleMax sticks from ActLabs, a pc one, and a psx one. The flight sticks will be easily interchanged. I'm scrapping a junk car of mine and am actually going to remove the passenger seat and use it as my cockpit seat! Ain't that awesome? Better than the arcade!!!

-THERE'S MORE: I am in the process of building control pads that will wire up to my pc via IPAC for the following systems: TG16, Genesis, SNES, NES, SMS, and Atari 2600. Two per system. I'm doing this by actually opening up the pads and soldering wires to each button then enclosing it back. No SNesKey or Dpadpro needed. They will emulate keyboard strokes. They will be stored right beneath the control panel.

-NO I'm not done believe it or not! In the near future I will be replacing my arcade monitor with a 25" tv and will wire up my pc via tv/out so that I can play any pc games on my cab and my psx will obviously need no crazy circuit. I am however still going to build the one just to test and see if using psx light guns on an arcade monitor can be done. I don't know of anyone who's tried this yet. Believe it or not there is actually room for a 25" tv in my cab although the current arcade monitor is only 19"!

-This WILL BE the baddest ass custom-built arcade cab in the world!

Let me tally the votes now for all of those that don't think I can do it. Trust me, I dream big. Thanks guys!

Agent Davis
