The KE24 is a great product. I had one, but upgraded to the KE72-T when I added a spinner. You can hook it up in a 2x24 matrix and using some creativity you can eliminate the possibility of ghosting.

IPAC and Hagstrom are both good to do business with. Andy (IPAC) is around, although I've not heard from him in a few days - maybe he is on vacation?

: the CP that i want to build has 2 joysticks, 6 buttons for each player, pause button, reset button, 1 player credit, 2 player credit, 1 player start, 2 player start...

: so i would have 26 inputs in total if i go 4 way joysticks?

: what encoder would you recomend in this particular case?

: I was told LP24 from hagstron would be ok... what do you think?

: btw, i emailed over to I-pac and i have recived no response... Is hagstron good to do buisness with?

: About my location in Ohio:
: Perry county Ohio :( boring place. Very country sided. Small town called New Straitsville.
: Here is my website: http://kickme.to/digitalpuppy

: As soon as i start my control panel project i will be adding info there. As for now nothing is there but old stuff.

:
: : The Hagstrom encoders allow you to update the configurations easily through the keyboard cable or a serial cable. The KE72-T is currently the top of the line with 72 discrete input (no ghosting) and a Trackaball/Spinner interface built in.

: : Personally I like seperate control panels. I have one that has 2 Joysticks, and 5 buttons/player. This covers a lot of games. However, games like Tempest/Arkanoid/Warlords/and driving games need a spinner. A second control panel handles that. I also have a "TRON" control panel. It works with Tron, Zaxxon, Gorf, etc.

: : BTW: I noticed your email address is ohiohills.com. Where in Ohio are you? COlumbus here....
