Analog and Digital are totally diferent interfaces. If you want an analog input, you need to use the Joystick port.
As for converting a digital joystick to analog - I guess it could be done, but it would be too much work.
What games and emulator are you trying to run?
: I need an adapted ASCII - type fight stick for the PSX with really only one modification. I would like an analog stick instead of the digital, 8 position stick it with which it comes. Can this be done?
