: I have no idea if analog can be added to a digital controller but there's one way you could get the controller you want. Find one of the Sony Dual Shock joysticks- not the game pad, the one with the two flight sticks and arcade buttons. It's supposed to have analog and digital support, you might be able to remove the flight stick and use a fighting style handle. I wouldn't mind trying this hack myself but those controllers are hard to find and expensive.

I have two of those. The problem is that if I were to convert one of the small joysticks to a regular stick, then I wouldn't be able to reach the two buttons on that side of the front of the controller. The plug, wire color, and wire count is identical between the dual shock with the analog and the digital only ones. Also, I have arthritis and the small platform creates too much tension in my hands. The large arcade stick is great, it just doesn't have analog, which works better for the only game I play - football. My opponents all use analog and they can change direction much faster.

I'll supply the parts if somebody thinks they can do it. You would have to replace the digital stick in an existing platform with an analog stck from the Sony Dual shock.
