I tried my asus tnt 2 card with advance mame and it works very well without scitech. Pal vbe modes worked. Use advance mame, set up some good screenmodes and everything should work fine. I am using advance mame with a cirrus laguna card now. I set up 1 screenmode and nearly every game works very well.
