MAME does not support medium rez monitors.(24khz) Only standard rez monitors (15khz) Some games used medium rez monitors but i cnt remember specific ones. If you can choose between the two you have to use the std rez to use if with mame.

Andy Geez is working on a version of his program called Mon-arc that will work with medium rez monitor though. Plus I think that Vsyncmame may work at 24khz with a few specific video cards.

That site is here....

Stay tuned here as im sure progress on these projects will show up here.

: I have a Hitachi 29" monitor in my Capcom JAMMA cabinet and it is a 15/24KHz monitor. I have a couple of questions:

: 1) Does MAME support medium resolution monitors? What about most video cards?

: 2) On the monitor pcb there are two sets of connector pins, one for 15KHz mode and one for 24KHz mode. It's currently set in 15KHz mode. If I move the connector to the 24KHz pins what would happen with AOS and MAME? Would I only be able to play medium res games if MAME even supports medium res monitors?

: 3) Is having to select 15/24KHz manually common with arcade monitors that support medium res?
