Wingman Warrior Question

I read somewhere that the Wingman Warrior spinner was compatible with the PC version of Tempest 2000, is this true? I know that a shareware version of Tempest is included with the joystick, they don't expect you to play tempest with the flight stick do they?

I noticed a dutch auction on eBay for $20 Wingman's, I think I might grab one.
