: I am using a KE24 encoder. The KE24 occupies the serial port and uses com1. My spinner is mede from a serial mouse and my trackball is using the PS2 port. How can I use the serial mouse (spinner) at the same time as the KE24 without rebooting everytime? Should I buy a USB mouse and re-make the spinner using the guts of the USB mouse?

For what it's worth, the KE24 encoder can be plugged into either COM1 or COM2,
the config program works with both. On the top of the screen it should have a COM listed and the key to press to
change it, which I believe is F1.

I have my KE24 plugged into COM2 at all times, with my trackball plugged into COM1.

Hope this helps,
Mike
