: I'm running MAME v.36 final in DOS and using ArcadeOS as a front end. Everytime I quit a game I lose my high scores. So why isn't it keeping the high scores when I quit the game?
You need the hiscore.dat file (www.mame.net) in your mame directory and the NVRAM directory. This will save some of the high scores. You can save more of them by going back to MAME V36B13. High scores were moved
to a separate file in V36B14 to allow the devs to work more on games. It's explained in the WHATSNEW.TXT

P.S. Thanks for the response on my keyboard hack, but does anyone know if I can use a test light style continuity checker without sending too much voltage to the PCB,
That's what I was asking
