I am finishing up the restoration of an old Neo Geo cabinet (which originally started its life as Dig Dug) and I want to get new sticks for it. I have seen from previous posts that the Super 8 sticks from Happ seem to be the preferred model. What I'd like to know is how the wiring would be different for an 8 way vs. a 4 way. Right now, the sticks I have use four microswitches that have both a ground wire and another wire that goes to the JAMMA harness. The third pin on each switch is left without a wire. I would assume that the third pin would be connected somehow so that you could get a signal for all eight positions. Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated :-)
