Disregard my other message... i got fat fingers. heh
The thing on the right is a power supply...... There is a good chance that ths cab was converted from something else... They just added the supply at the right for power to the PCB.. and used the transformer to power the monitor. The power for the original board probably came from the tramsformer but voltages were a lot different. This is the way my cabinet was when I got it. It was originally a Defender cab that was switched to Ghosts and Gobblins. I just took out the extra power supply and used the transformer for the monitor and a PC power supply for the PC i added.

: Below is the original thread that I posted asking about my Double Dragon power supply adn what exactly it is since I've never done this kind of a thing before. Saint asked me to post some pictures to help you guys out as to what I'm looking at so hopefully someone can answer my question and help me figure this stuff out. Anyway here is a couple of pictures of my PCB drawer with the "other stuff" at the end. I've labeled them as to what I think they are and I'm sure I know what the isol. transformer is and the line filter, but I'm not sure what the other stuff is. Do I have it right?? I've included a close up of what I think is the power supply so hopefully someone can tell me if I'm right or not. :)This PCB stuff sure is a lot different ball game than the controller world. :)

: The close up is in the next thread...

: I was checking out my Double Dragon Cab last night, just to get a feel of what everthing is, and I was wondering what exactly is the power supply? In the Service manual it gives me a diagram that shows the Isol transformer, line filter, AC terminal block and the power supply. When I look inside the cab, I saw the iso transformer and line filter, and there's also something with two fuses and a 3 prong plug, and then something else with +5,+12V on it. Is that the power supply or is that the AC terminal block? If it's not the power supply, then what is and what does it do? (if that's not the dumbest question ever) Also are all power supplies the same or do they vary from game to game? Thanks!
