I've seen them in action a year or so ago. They were awesome for games, not quite so great for Windows - but that's expected. I was in a Gateway showroom here in NYC, and when nobody was looking I downloaded and installed MAME plus a personal fave, Blaster by Williams. I ran it on the 35" (34 or 36?) model and it was AWESOME!
There are some better options now though - the company that made those for Gateway is Princeton and they have newer and better models now:

My fave is the 32" one that does XGA resolution. The features are incredible - it does everything, even tunes TV etc. I have never seen it in person but I bet it rocks!

: Has anyone tried using one of those huge Gateway Destination monitors? I have not been completely pleased with the quality the composite and S-Video outputs from my computer.
