Yes, this is what I figured, getting rid of it is the problem.

: Can you isolate the built in amp to assure it isn't inducing the hum? Then connect your pc amplified output directly to the cabinet speaker wires. That way you can tell if the problem is with the wiring itself, or with the amp.

Unfortunately, I can't connect my amplified speakers directly to the cabinet speaker wires as it's a 3 piece system (with subwoofer) and the connections are proprietary.

I fiddled around with trying to ground that one channel that had no lead and had no luck. One of the times I was doing it, the new ground wire turned into a receiver and I was picking up either a radio station or some HAM. Oops.

It's looking more and more like I will have to use PC speakers. I know the cabinet wiring and amp is sound (no pun intended) because the hum isn't present when I use a JAMMA pcb for the game source. I'd say it's coming from the PC.

Any other ideas?
