26" is Japanese for 25". They round up.

You shouldn't have any problems running all DOS MAME games with ArcadeOS on an arcade monitor with the next beta of MAME. The current beta has problems with 640x480 modes, for games like the vector games, 16-bit NeoGeo games, etc. A fix for this problem (verified, working with ATI cards) has been submitted to the MAME team. The only thing I noticed is that games like SmashTV that won't fit in 640 pixels wide when doubled, are small.

: I've heard of the following monitor sizes:
: 13"
: 19"
: 25"
: 27"
: 33"
: 39"

: But I've have never come across a 26" monitor. What's the make and model?

: As far as VGA vs. standard resolution, you won't need VGA for MAME games.

: : Hi everybody,
: : I'm purchasing a TMNT cabinet and it has a standard 26" monitor in it. Will I be able to run all the current MAME games with this monitor? I assume to that I can only use ArcadeOS for a frontend and not Arcade@home as it works off windows.
: : Also will the newer games in MAME coming out will still run without a VGA monitor? Or should I just spend $$$$ and get a 26" VGA monitor?

: : Thanks
