: No matter which method you choose, there will be some learning curve, and possible problems. : The best thing is to choose one Mame executable, and one front end - and stick with it. After a bit, you'll learn the caveats of each and how to deal with them. : Personally, I choose to use MS-DOS, MAME DOS, and ArcadeOS. With the newest version of AOS, you can reporgram the keys to be what you want, it automatically updates the game list, and supports a ton of options. : : The actual MAME program is starting to become a hassle. : : I've been trying to decide on a version / front end etc. There seems to be no good option. : : Initially I loved mAME32 but there seems to be little updating and it doesn't support some favourites (like super off-road) : : Tried the DOS version in Windows with many front ends - most not very good.
