Sounds like we are both about to start our projects with similar hardware and approaches.

We might be able to teach each other a thing or two, and save a little time and money in the process.

: Congrats on the cabinet. Hope you got a good price. :)

: As far as keeping the original board in place, you could disconnect all the cables to it so that the PCD just sits there. Then buy another harness (cheap) and wire it to your controls accordingly.

: I have a MK1 cabinet and was able to sell the marquee and PCB to a restorer for the same price as the entire cabinet! (Fret not, VAPS, it was not an original cabinet, it was a mediocre conversion without side art.)

: Only newer WG monitors (read $$$) don't require Isolation Transformers. Slightly older (but still good) ones like the K7000 need them. (Replacement ITs are only about $15 apiece.)

: Check out this link for more info on how they work:

: : I just bought my cabinet!!(Mortal Kombat 2)First question: It has an Isolation Transformer mounted on the floor of the cabinet.(should I know anything about this thing?)I noticed monitors sold at Happ usually say "no Isolation Transformer required".Can anyone shed some light on this for me?Second, If I do the "pc2jamma, in which I want to still leave the cabinet in its original state, but use an emu with it.What do I do to disable the mortal kombat game from coming on when I turn the cabinet on, when I want to use emulators?I never found this info in the projects. Thanks
