Received an answer from Brian once about powering off: He advise to end MAME before powering off, no need to end AOS. I've been doing that for half a year now with no problems.
I use ArcadeOs 2.35 and MAME 36b13.
Good luck on building, will you share some pictures on the net? (oops... still working on pictures/website for mine)
