Hey all!
I've been a lurker here for quite some time. I've been planning my mamecab for quite a while, and finally got started. I was able to pick up a cabinet for $50 here in town, so all was good and ready to go. Then the problems came along...
I don't have a garage, so the cab was sitting on my back deck under a tarp. I get home from work after a huge rain storn to find that the tarp was half off the cabinet, and that everything was wet!! That wasn't good!
I managed to get the cab in the house, and dry it off the best that I could. After 3 days of drying the particle board is starting to bubble at the back of the cab. it is bubbled about an inch around all exposed wood.
Ahh well.. I guess i'll let it dry a few days longer, then it's a sanding I will go.
Any tips? Is something like this salvageable? I've never tried repairing anything made out of particle board. I usually just scrap it because it would be more trouble then it's worth.
