Take a look at the following web-page:

http://www.mameworld.net/pc2jamma/trackball.html

It should work if the Wilco trackball has a standard 5v active low interface (there are ways to solve it even if it is active high, se my previous postings about KE72-T, trackballs and active high or low, using my old nick "Rob"). The KE72-T from Hagstrom, the HAPP trackball interface and the new generic trackball interface from Andy (the inventor of I-PAK) are all alternatives to a hacked mouse solution. Se my previous posting "Trackball and spinner and general interface".

: Has anyone successfully interfaced a Wilco 3" trackball
: to a serial port or is there any instructions somewhere.
: there are 6 wires coming off it. a ground,a positive,
: and four data I assume. The paper that came with the
: unit said to switch the grouped wires if the direction
: needed to be switched. It grouped two wires for up
: down and two for left and right. If anyone can help I
: could use it. Thanks
