hi guys. got a couple decisions to make here for the mame guy...
check out these two links for a couple possible layouts of my CP. tell me which would look better and feel better. the blue buttons pictured go with the 8-way stick, the red buttons go with the trackball.
I still can't decide whether i can fit a 4-way stick in there as well.
in the first I have the trackball centered with buttons on either side. In the second i move the trackball to the right, a la Millipede, and move the fire button to left only, and a little farther away. I try to arrange the controls so that they don't interfere with each other and are ergonomically pretty good. This is basically why i can't find where to put the 4-way stick. And to top it off, i think the blue fire buttons are too far away from the joystick. DAMN.
So.... once again, any help appreciated. probably going to want to make the MAME guy in a zaxxon cabinet like i had originally planned with my nintendo project.
the CP on that guy is 23-7/8" by 7"...
