It depends on the wheel I think.
You should be able to plug it into your computer as usual and use it as a joystick.
The one that I have allows saving configurations for different games - haven't tried using it with mame yet.
I'm sure mame32 would work, but not sure about dos mode?
: I have seen a few people with steering wheels attached to their control panel, and thought that it was a neat idea. I can only recall a few games that use a steering wheel, and am not sure that it is worth working in to a permanent control panel, but I do have a Logitech WingMan Formula Force (for force feedback) with a set of pedals. It's current mounting method is to clip it on to a computer desk, and hand tighten some, for a lack of better words, clamps to hold it in place. I kind of like the idea, but will it interface with MAME at all without cutting wires? If I can only use it with Windows games (like Need4Speed), then it will stay attached to my PC. Any insight on its ability to work, and mounting ideas would be great....
