Hey John Mac,

Glad to see that I'm not the only person who has been bitten by the cocktail cab bug! My biggest obsticle right now is figuring out where to put the damn thing if I go through with it. Hmmm.

I've seen the option in a lot of games in MAME to run in "cocktail mode", where the screen flips itself around when changing between Player 1 and Player 2. I don't know about other emus though...

As far as the monitor goes (assuming that you're using a PC monitor), I would imagine that you would really want to make sure that it is VERY secure in there. Some monitors might act funky if they're tipped on their backs (magnetic fields, etc.). I remember reading somewhere that someone suggested just propping the monitor on it's back and leaving it on for a couple of days just to test it out before you go through the hassle of building the cabinet only to find out that your monitor won't work!

Of course, space is going to be cramped in a cocktail cab. Most people seem to mount their computer components sans case inside the cabinet. A fan and some vents would be good too to help dispell the heat.

Anyone else?
