The IPAC can be ordered with an additional rig that Andy created that will easily do this and even includes the housing for the led's I believe. It adds $15 to the cost though.
My wireless keyboard receiver already does this so I didn't get it when I got my IPAC.

: I'm pretty sure that MAME supports the use of num-lock and caps-lock LEDs to indicate that a coin has been received. I don't know if this works for all games or what.
: Also, though I haven't used it yet, the I-PAC appears to support the attachment of LEDs that act like keyboard lights. I think you can even get the panel mount LEDs with it. It's cost is somewhere around $50.00 I believe.
