I'm just about to start assembling my cabinet and i decided i'd try to get picture on a television before taking the easy way out and use a PC monitor.

I had some vga to scart cable here that i used with my amiga. After checking the cables and some soldering i started vsyncmame and sismame. I was surprised i did get some kind of signal to my pal television(usually things like this never work the first time around for me). One problem though, it appeared the signal did not have a vertical sync. The picture was rolling.

First i thought the cable might be the problem checked doublechecked but still no luck. Then i tried Advance mame, set up a few video modes and it works very well now.

I can make some diagrams of the wiring if anyone interested. Gonna complete the scart connector with audio inputs, if the television fits in the cabinet i'll use the sound system of the television i guess.

Way to go Advance mame !
