Creative Labs SB16...only. I have been collecting them from work to have spares on hand. They only cost like 20 bucks though.

I have a 10 gig HD as a slave just for MAME. My primary has Win98 and the rest of the stuff on it...

: : I'm sure everyone would agree the Soundblaster 16 is the ideal choice for sound. There are also aftermarket cards that use this chipset onboard as well(personally I'd stick with Creative Labs version). As for your harddrive since prices have come down I personally think of it like memory-get as much as you can afford. Hope that helps ya.
