: After taking a look at those pictures I have to ask a couple of things.. First off, won't the controls that are facing you get in the way while you are playing? For example, say you have the yokes available for play.

Well the angle of the panel is at 45 degrees twords you. This means that the bottom goes 45 degrees away from you, and leaves you plenty of room. I did a test, and it works well. I also placed them in an order of least possible extrusion. The height is up there as well. Its definitly a stand up... or bar seat. Though, I placed the driving controls on the 90 degree sides. This way it is even and level. You can actually sit down for it if youd like. Ill take pic's when its finished. Draw it out on paper and or you wont understand what Im babling about
:)

Also, how are you going to manage to hook that many inputs up? I can see more than 70 digital (on/off, I only counted buttons and normal joysticks) and 5 analog (correct me if I'm wrong, but three wheels, one yoke) inputs needed (not counting trackballs). How are you going to wire all of this up? Are you using a custom designed encoder or piggybacking a couple of KE72s? I'd be interested in hearing how you are going to hook all of this up after it's built...

Ok, Its definitly KE72T powered. Also, I have a special addon board custom built for turning opto info into keystrokes. The analouge will be done with switches, like a joystick switchbox - or custom wired switches. (or just ports on the side if I go the easy way out)

I wrote it all down at one time, but since have lost the diagram. Ill write it down again soon enough... :)

Just remember... only one panel is being utilized at a time. A lot of the buttons are repeats. IE: Player 1 joystick wiring is the wired to all player one joysticks for all panels... And only 2 analouges are used at once.

There are a few possible conflicts... but a simple switch will solve them.

I do have a L4 that I could use... but its not good in dos mame. Best for windows only.

Anyway... you must think Im an ametaur ??? ;)

You must understand, I spent a couple of months of drawing and designing this monster! Ive got a stack of old concepts and wiring ideas that are about an inch high!

More soon,

Sincerely,
Steve
:)
