No problem at all. You will notice no difference at all for two way games
Also I use wico leafswitch joysticks and have almost no problems playing 4 way games. The only game it was annoying was mrdo and after disabling the diagonals in mame's key setup it also plays ok. Even Q-bert mapped to the diagonals in not bad at all.
