I use Arcadeos as the front end and I'm not using an arcade monitor.
It has a lot of features that make it great. Basically, it elimintates the need for a keyboard to change games, setup options, etc.
: There have been numerous posts here on it, a lot from Agent Davis, and a few others. There seems to be a positive spin on it, especially since it seems to work with all DOS programs and emulators. I guess you can just try it, and if you don't like it just delete it.
: The most talked about feature is its ability to support low-res low frequency monitors like Original Arcade Monitors and TV sets.

: : I am considering using ArcadeOS for my DOS cabinet but noticed that that Saint doesn't list AcadeOS as a front end for cabinets under the links section. Might be that he hasn't had time to update or it isn't recommended for cabinets.
: : Does anyone have success or horror stories using ArcadeOS in cabinet projects?
