I've been talking to Dave at Hagstrom. He thinks there is a problem/bug in the programming of the IC and is sending me another one to try.

: I had a similar problem with the LP24, (holding the joystick up or down to scroll through ArcadeOS would stick in that direction, going in the other direction would not stop it - I had to push the joystick in the same direction again). After talking to Dave at Hagtrom a few times and trying to change the pullup resistors, they sent me a new unit it worked perfectly!!
