I realy put alot of thought into interfaces! Today I finally got A chance to see the gravis hack in action. Since my cabinet (wood work) is only about 90% finished. And my gravis hack was finished. I just temped it all toughter to test. Had about 10 feet of wire going from the controls to the interface. My controls consist of 2 happs 8 way supers, 6 buttons each player, 2 pinball side buttons, esc. pause, reset, 1 player coin, 1 player start, 2 player coin, 2 player start, happs trackball (3 button serial mouse)and A normal keyboard. All i've tested is mame32 and neoragex. Seems dos mame may cause me A few problems. What I used for the hack was the proporinal pad, 6 buttons, start and slect buttons and the 2 buttons in the handles on each pad. Have more than enough imputs. Anyway, myself and A friend tested for A few hours using mame32 and street fighter 2 (2-8way joys and 6 buttons each). We diden't find A problem at all!!!!!!! I set up mame32 via the gravis software and adjusted the key settings in mame32 as needed. So far I'm very happy with this interface. If anyone is interested I can write up A full How to on this. Think I give it Another week are so of testing. It is not A cheep hack and there was A lot of soldering involved. But it seems to work well..........

later, Jim
