I have used a hacked gamepad, a hacked powerramp, and a hacked keyboard in various stages as my project develops.

I bought an IPAC from Andy Warne, it arrived in record time, but I did not have a chance to install it until last night. I choose to install 2 players, 6 buttons each and it worked great the first time. Total time to hook it up was about 2 hours, then I fired up the machine and it played with no problems the first time. I can not say enough good things about the ease of use. I spent numerous hours soldering onto etches as I hacked the other hardware, this was time and money well spent as it installed right away.
If you are thinking of hacking a keyboard, etc., save yourself some time and spend the $49 on the IPAC
