I have an ASUS V3000 chipset-NRivia and it always outputs to DOS, with or without the monitor connected, because the refresh rate in DOS is compatible both with the monitor or the TV set (in PAL), when you enter in WINDOWS the resolution and the refresh rate are incompatible with both TV and monitor, with some graphic cards (ATI Rage 2)you can use the TV and the monitor at the same time but the moitor can only have a refresh rate of 50 Hz.
