I posted this message a while back ago on the 27" WG monitor. It turns out that a fixed frequency monitor isn't able to handle certain modes, like 400x300. :-(

I also found that my notebook computer was more compatible with some of the other modes than my desktop. My desktop couldn't run 400x300, 512x384, or 640x400. The impact of the limited resolutions left to use is that your games will either be cropped on the bottom and sides if you choose too low a res. or, the images will be complete but very small at 640x480. My advice is to avoid this monitor.
