I agree, use IDE. I just finished my first project that has a trackball and a spinner with the KE72-T. I used standard IDE cable that I tinned first and connected to barrier strips. From the barrier strips I used 22 guage to the buttons and sticks. I used .187 connectors I got from Digikey because I forgot to order them from Happs when I placed my order. Worked pretty good.
