: I don't think the buttons are the problem, since those three buttons for each player are not connected via the Jamma connector, but instead via a "kick harness" make sure there is one in your machine, and that it goes to the topmost board of the SF2 PCB, should be connected to the 10 pin connector, second closest to the edge (CNI02).
