: Another one of my ideas.....

: In the chat last night someone jokingly mentioned that we all get together and have an arcade party in Ohio because it seems like so many of us are from here. This got me thinking (uh, oh). What if we could organize a big arcade party? Yeah, this sounds crazy but I think that this would be awesome. This would take lengthy planning of course and it could be set for a date a while in advance. An idea would be to rent out an arcade in Ohio somewhere with machines on free play of course and have a big arcade party all day/night (whichever) with food (DJ possibly?). I'm not sure what would be a good location for something like this but I do know that some places do rent out for parties such as fun centers and such. We could all split the cost of everything. Again, this would be something that would take extensive planning and would have to be highly organized. This is just an idea that I thought I'd throw out there and I thought it would be a great thing to do. It would give us all a chance to actually meet all of the people that we so often talk with but know only on a cyber basis. I feel that Ohio would be a great location because it seems like half of the people that come to this site are from here (plus I'm from here :)) Of course, non-Ohioans would be welcome as well. If someone actually owns an arcade or has a personal one that could be used as a good party place, that would be great as well. It all depends on the number of people that could do this, if any. An actual arcade might be a bit big for what would probably be a fairly small group, but once again it depends on numbers. We could even make this a semi or annual event. Hell, maybe I'll be the founder of a new organization!!! LOL. Well, everyone tell me what you think.

Just a thought but I was at Cedar Point yesterday and I wondered if you guys realized how cool of an arcade they have up there. I personally played defender, asteroids deluxe, donkey kong, zaxxon, ms pacman, space invaders and galaga (8 quarters). Plus this great arcade is at the best amusement park in the WORLD! so we don't have to play games all day (just most of it:). Being in Sandusky also allows all Ohioans, Chicago (a few hours), Michigan (Detroit), etc. Toledo has a small airport that will get you about 40 min away. This was just a thought anyway cause I doubt if we were to rent a chuck e cheese or something that they would have real classic arcade games.

BTW For the roll call I'm in Canton OH so I guess I'm biased too.
