:Ball Joysticks
Wico is your source for this, Happs doesn't have them. I'm not sure if you can swap the shaft you have into the Happs joystick though. You could measure the shaft and give the sizes and ask Happs or post it here for a response.

:Tron Joystick
I plan to buy one of the "tron" joysticks from happs. I'll post here when I do.

:CP Overlay
Happs sells a "black pica" film that works as a plain overlay. I used it on one of my panels and it works fine.

You could always use Formica for your woodgrain pattern on your panel. It produces great results and is very durable.

: Controller spacing:
Unless you are going to make 1 panel for each game, this is a hard question to answer. I suggest you make a mock panel using cardboard till you get one that feels right.

: Wiring:
I used a DB25 male on my panels and a DB25 female going to the KE72. This makes my control panels switchable in minutes.

: Flourescent vs. incandescent marquees:
I thought that all origional games had fourescent lights. Regardless, a flourescent is cheap, easy to maintain, and produces less heat than an incadescent. That is my personal preference.

: Hagstrom 72-T:
In my opinion, this is the best out there. It supports all your needs, and has the added functionality of a trackball/spinner interface.
