Considering this whole page is dedicated to building something on our own with probably a hundred or more sub categories its a great idea to see what other people are building. I think I've heard of the build your own pinball idea before. Does anyone know of any websites with this? I don't think I could accomplish something like that right now though, considering building a pinball machine from scratch would be one helluva headache and would make this project seem pale in comparison. I have to say, that kit you are planning on building looks bad ass. What car are you going to put it on?

I'm so excited about this project of mame machine building that I stumbled upon just a few months ago. It has created a whole new hobby for me. Because of this I have realized that I have interests that I never knew I had. I don't think that I'll ever actually finish this project because I'll just keep adding on and making it bigger and better than before. I have so many future plans like adding a playstation and getting all the gun games for it so I can have a gun cab as well, getting a spinner, trackball, and a racewheel. It is never ending and I think I could say that for most the people who frequent here. Once you are done with one project you move on to the next. That is half the enjoyment of it. I don't think I could enjoy this nearly as much if I had someone build it for me. When you put the sweat into it, you appreciate things so much more. We have it made in America and we take so many things for granted that we fail to often appreciate things the way we should. Doing projects like this make you realize that all the work pays off and the satisfaction you get at the end is overwhelming. I extremely appreciate all of the people that come to this site and contribute to this very unique hobby. None of us could do this (except a few) without the help of the people who contribute to this site and others. What is also great to see is the different kinds of people who are in this hobby. I'm a 19 year old college freshman majoring in criminology who wants to be an FBI agent (yup, that's where the name comes from) who's video game memories start in the 80's and I'll talk with a 40 year old systems engineer who remembers the days of games when I was still in diapers about how to hook up my video cable. Its really great to see the diversity of people that are involved in all of this, from young to old....er....I mean middle aged :). Thank you everyone for giving me a great hobby!!! Knowledge is a powerful thing. Its great that everyone shares it so much.
