Long time, no post... But let me also join in on the praise for Advance MAME...

Simply beautiful! It's ranks right up there with ArcadeOS and MAME itself as an invaluable contribution to arcade retrogaming and cabinet building!

I'm running MAME in pure DOS with a Rage Pro card and a 25" WG K7000 monitor. Don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. Hell, I'm sure I have a lot of learn. Advance MAME has a complicated set up procedure -- not for a newbie -- but I don't think we have that problem here.

I consider myself a purist. Faithfully re-creating the arcade experience has always been my top priority. Not having a rotatable monitor was always a sore spot -- I really felt like I needed to build a second a cab with one.

BUT, the image quality vertical games on a horizontal arcade monitor is excellent here. I'd give it a score of 97% -- not perfect, but damn close. "Even" for me, I'd safely say anyone planning their projects can avoid a rotatable monitor and be perfectly happy.

Thanks creators of Advance MAME! I can't praise it hight enough.

Joe

P.S. Andy Geez, nice to see you back on the boards. What exactly has your brilliant, but diabolical, mind cooked up. Looking forward to seeing THAT project!
