I dl'ed Advance MAME the day it came out and it is now THE ONLY MAME I will use in my ArcadePC cabinet! Or any PC for that matter!
Why? Well, ever since using emus, one thing that annoyed me was certain games with odd resolutions like 256x224 being in a square shaped area, or not being able to size them out to the full size of the monitor. Advance MAME changes all that! After a few hours of trial and error with the utilities I created my own video modes customized just for my setup and FINALLY have my favorite games looking the way they should.
I can't recommend Advance MAME highly enough. Don't be discourgaed at first though, because learning to tweak and create video modes can be a steep learning experience, but once over that little hill it's all fun and games afterwards. :)
