This is so weird. Even after I enable the driver no program will display in pure DOS. I get a C:/ prompt, but when I execute MAME I see the roms unzipping and loading then nothing but black. I can't even do a ALT+CTRL+DEL to reboot. I have to turn the power off to restart. This is really confusing. It does this on the TV and PC monitor. Thought at first it just might be when the TV was enabled, but it's both. Still looking for a solution. Going to read up on this. Thanks to all who have helped! Game on!

: : The graphic chip on your card is the Rage Pro. Here is a link to the vesa drivers for your card. It is a dos TSR. BTW, any drivers that you need for ANYthing can be found at www.windrivers.com It was a godsent when I was a computer tech. Don't know if this driver will work, but it's worth a try. ATI is known for their flakey drivers.
