Ive recently been informed that 4* AGP
is basically a hoax. In fact, most card that are
supposed to be 2x agp, are only running at 1x!
A friend at the computer shop just recieved a program that could tell how fast the video was being transfered, and also gave him this information: Windows default is 1x. Unless you bypass the windows protection system, your higher agp speeds are usless. The reason is that windows runs unstable at speeds above 2x.
He was shocked to see that his 4x agp card was running at only 1X !!! He bumped it to 4x after the diagnosis, but it was creating problems so he put it a 2x and it ran smooth.
I will try to get the program from him soon to share with everyone.
