I'm not a paint expert but from what I've read do the following to give it a hard shell gloss apperance. First use a good primer, followed by a high gloss paint. For the final use a clear sealer to give it good shine and it will also help protect the paint from chipping and scratches. To get a real professional look follow the directions on the primers and paints and don't rush it. Painting takes 30 to 45 minutes per coat but takes around 24 hours of drying time before you can apply the next. Look around the cab sites. There's lots of info on how and what products people used on their projects. Good luck and Game On!

: I am in the process of building a Mame Cabinet. I used
: particle board to build it and want to give it a smooth
: finish, regular oil based paint gets soaked up by the wood.

: What should I use to give it a smooth arcade like appearance?

: Primer? Enamel Paint? I am open to suggestions, thanks.
