Personally, I know of many people who go to work/school/etc who are on IRC at all different times of the day. Scheduling a weekly chat, on Friday, at 10:00PM no less, seems an exercise in futility.. :) (i.e. some of us go out Friday Nights)
Why not just get on EFnet and start up #BYOAC. and let people trickle in as needed.. :) I know I'd be chillin in that channel on a regular basis. :)
