I always thought that games with the joystick on the right were more natural...
Having it on the left always seemed awkward.
That has always stuck with me, even on modern PC games.
Must've been all that Atari 2600 gaming.

: hey all - just curious about different aspects of these games, please let me know your experience.

: 1. playing Tron, in the actual arcade machine, isn't it odd and/or awkward having the joystick in the right hand? considering most games have it on the left or in the middle...

: 2. Gorf - emulator people should be able to answer this one. i can't remember, but does your ship only have the ability to have ONE shot onscreen at any given time? (i was reading about you can cancel a shot by firing again, but i dont remember having to wait to shoot next?)

: 3. Star Wars. are there any other similar games that use the same yoke and triggers? could you pull off Spy Hunter, Roadblasters, STUN runner with it? If i build a MAME cabinet after my NES cabinet, i'll probably stick with one set of controls for it.

: cheers!

: (more NES cab help needed soon i think)
